Plaza Las Americas in Lilburn, Georgia invites you to celebrate the Day of the Dead with the "GIANT SKULLS" and MEGA ALTAR" Exhibition coupled with various family activities for a month.
Plaza Las Américas is transformed into a great offering. Visitors can enjoy free of charge the "GIANT SKULLS, and a MEGA ALTAR" Exhibition, the decoration of our spaces and various other activities. 8 figures of 15 feet, 300 meters of papel picado and a "MEGA ALTAR" will be installed in our Plaza. Candles, sugar skulls, bread of the dead and many Mexican handicrafts, will shape an offering in which visitors will learn about the origins of this unique tradition. Bringing a photo of a loved one to place at the altar is also encourgaed. Figures of Mexican personalities such as the singer José José, the actress María Félix, the singer Juan Gabriel, the actor Cantinflas, the musician Celso Piña, the beloved television personality El Chapulín Colorado and the artists Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, will adorn the Plaza .

Join Us for Our Day of the Dead Festival at Plaza Las Americas

Visitors of all ages will learn about and experience a Day of the Dead Festival, presented in partnership with the Consul General of Mexico and the Institute of Mexican Culture. Guests enjoy traditional dancing, crafts, and authentic Mexican food and entertainment. View the altar honoring lost family and friends that are decorated with flowers, favorite foods, and beverages. Guests are invited to enjoy the outdoor festival, and the shops at Plaza Las Americas. Food and drinks will be available for purchase
